How do you dry brush??
Start with dry skin: Dry brushing is typically done on dry skin before taking a shower or bath. Make sure your skin is clean and free from any oils, lotions, or creams.
Begin at the feet: Begin brushing at your feet and work your way up towards your heart. Use long, sweeping motions and brush each area several times, overlapping the strokes slightly.
Brush towards the heart: When dry brushing, it's important to brush towards the direction of your heart. This is believed to promote lymphatic drainage and circulation. For example, brush your legs upwards, your arms towards the armpits, and your back towards the heart.
Adjust pressure and sensitivity: Apply light pressure when brushing sensitive areas or if you're new to dry brushing. As your skin gets accustomed to the sensation, you can gradually increase the pressure slightly. Avoid brushing too hard, as it can cause skin irritation.
Focus on each body part: Brush each body part for a few minutes before moving on to the next. Pay attention to areas like your legs, arms, stomach, back, and buttocks. Be cautious around sensitive areas, such as the chest or face, or any areas with cuts, wounds, rashes, or sunburn.
