Holistic Hair Health

No you don't need to take a "hair supplement" from some expensive company, no you don't need to do a hair mask twice a day and let you hair get greasy for days at a time. But if that works for you, go for it!

Here are a few of my tips that have been working for me...

Eat a balanced and nutritious diet: Your hair needs essential vitamins and minerals such as iron, biotin, zinc, and vitamin E to stay healthy. Incorporating foods rich in these nutrients such as leafy greens, nuts, seeds, and fish into your diet can help promote hair health.

Stay hydrated: Drinking plenty of water can help keep your scalp and hair hydrated, which can promote hair growth and prevent breakage.

Avoid using harsh chemicals: Chemical treatments such as hair dyes, perms, and relaxers can damage your hair and lead to breakage. Opt for natural hair products and avoid using heat-styling tools too often.

Massage your scalp: Massaging your scalp can help increase blood flow to your hair follicles, which can promote hair growth. You can use a scalp massager or your fingers to gently massage your scalp for a few minutes each day.

Get enough sleep: Getting enough sleep can help reduce stress, which can be beneficial for hair health. Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep each night.

Use natural oils: Natural oils such as coconut oil, argan oil, castor oil and jojoba oil can help moisturize your hair and promote growth. Apply a small amount of oil to your hair and scalp and leave it in for a few hours before washing it out. Avoid the harsh hair masks.

Incorporate rosemary oil: I like to mix it into my castor oil and use it as a hair mask!

Manage stress: Stress can lead to hair loss, so managing stress through practices such as meditation, yoga, or deep breathing exercises can be beneficial for hair health.

Don't forget to practice self love, you are beautiful just the way you are :)
