Updated: Jul 5, 2022

Hemp Heart Health Benefits

Hemp hearts have a comparable protein content to beef, with higher digestibility than soy, and are considered a complete protein, making hemp an easy choice to power you through your day.

Hemp hearts contain a high concentration of polyunsaturated fats and are one of the few sources to contain a perfect balance of Omega-6 to Omega-3 fatty acids making hemp a great daily addition to your diet.

Additionally hemp has a high concentration of phyto-sterols which are known to lower cholesterol reducing the risk of heart disease.

Combined with hemp's amino acid and omega acid profile, hemp hearts are packed with vitamins and minerals including zinc, iron, magnesium, vitamin E and B vitamins, promoting stress reduction and mood balance.

What should I do with hemp hearts??

- Add them to your smoothies

- Add them to your oats

- Top your salads with them

- Eat them by the handful if you are feelin' CRAZY!

What hemp hearts should I buy?

I get all of my hemp hearts from together hemp co.

you can use the discount code: HILSHEALTHYEATS for a discount!

Have you been trying to #supportlocal since the pandemic? Well... look no further because at together hemp co. all of it is grown in Ontario, Canada.

Not only are hemp hearts good for you.. but they are good for the planet.

Hemp enhances soil conditions by shading out weeds, eliminating the need for herbicides. Hemp can also be grown without the use of synthetic pesticides which can contaminate soil (and food, yuck!) and the large taproot of the hemp crop penetrates deep into the soil preventing erosion and even restoring soil health! Hemp crops also grow with considerably less water than corn, soy, or flax, and hemp plants sequester more carbon dioxide from the atmosphere than trees! All of our hemp products are grown and packaged in Ontario using compostable and fully recyclable materials to maintain a low ecological impact.
