Sleep: Getting 8-10 hours of sleep NIGHTLY. If this means going to bed earlier or prepping my breakfast to get an extra 20 minutes in the morning, I am prioritizing that. Winter is a time for our body to revive and rejuvenate. The better sleep you are getting the stronger your immune system.
Herbal Teas: This is one of my favourites.. not only do they keep you warm but they have tonnes of additional benefits. Incorporate immune-boosting herbs like echinacea, elderberry, or chamomile into your daily routine for an extra holistic health boost.
Taking elderberry, zinc and vitamin C DAILY: These are all immune boosting nutrients for our body! These will help protect us from all those nasty bugs out there.
Stress Management: This is a no brainer but trying to reduce stress. I am making sure to spend time doing things that bring me joy, taking moments to breathe and slowing down when I can. I know this can be hard during the holidays, but prioritizing your mental health should always be the top priority. Stress can weaken the immune system, so finding ways to manage stress is crucial for overall health.
Whole Foods Diet: Soups, stews and nourishing meals. All winter long. Incorporate bone broths, spices and warming meals to nourish your body and protect your immune system.
